PRACTICE INFORMATION
Accessibility statement
A website and counselling experience that are easier to use.
01 / OUR COMMITMENT
Our commitment
The Counselling Wollongong Studio aims to make information welcoming, understandable and accessible to people with different abilities and support needs. Accessibility is an ongoing responsibility, not a claim that every barrier has already been removed.
WCAG 2.2 Level AA is the intended design target. This website has not completed an independent accessibility assessment and does not claim certified or full conformance.
02 / WHAT WE AIM TO SUPPORT
What we aim to support
- Clear, respectful language and consistent navigation.
- Readable text, appropriate contrast, browser zoom and layouts that work across screen sizes.
- Keyboard access and visible focus for interactive elements.
- Meaningful headings, links and image descriptions.
- Content that avoids unnecessary flashing, movement or sensory overload.
These are design commitments to be checked, rather than a statement that all testing has passed.
03 / FORMS AND EXTERNAL SERVICES
Forms and external services
The enquiry form opens separately on Jotform. Its accessibility may differ from this website. If the form is difficult to use, an accessible alternative contact method will need to be arranged. That alternative has not yet been confirmed; this is a requirement to resolve before public launch.
04 / TELL US ABOUT A BARRIER
Tell us about a barrier
You are welcome to request information in another format or discuss communication, sensory or access needs. It can help to identify the page, what was difficult and the device or assistive technology involved, but these details are optional.
The separate feedback, complaints and privacy form is available online. An alternative to online forms also needs to be confirmed so that a form-access barrier does not prevent you from raising a concern. We will consider accessibility issues and discuss practical alternatives where possible. No fixed response time or particular adjustment is promised before it has been agreed with you.
You do not have to resolve a concern directly with the practice before seeking advice from an appropriate external accessibility or discrimination body.
